Charles L. Brown, age 80, of Albia died Monday, September 13, 2010 at the Monroe County Hospital in Albia.
Charles was born on April 30, 1930, in Burlington Junction, Missouri to Harry Charles and Wilma May (Hubbard) Brown. He grew up and attended Burlington Junction School and on April 17, 1948 in Lovilia he married Doris L. (Seddon) Chance. They were blessed with 62 years of marriage.
Charles farmed and worked for the County Road Department. He was a member of Farm Bureau
Charles is survived by his wife, Doris; one son, Dewayne Brown; 2 daughters, Marsha Brown Krutina, and Deloris Brown; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
Charles is preceded in death by his mother, Wilma; stepfather, Harlen; 2 sons, Dennis and Gary Brown; and 2 brothers, Hubert and James Kempf.
Charles's wishes were cremation with joint ceremonies with his wife at a later date.
