Patrick Hollinrake, 66, of Creston died Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital in Red Oak, Iowa.

Patrick Joseph Hollinrake was born May 8, 1949 in Albia, IA to John Edward Hollinrake and Virginia (Irvin) Hollinrake. He graduated from Albia Community High School in 1967 and continued at Northwest Missouri State Univ. with a BS in Agr. Business. He entered the U.S. Army in September 1969 and served until August 1971.

On December 30, 1972, Pat married Marilyn Wallace in Weller, IA. Together they had three sons. John, Ryan and Adam.

They bought a farm near Corning in 1978 and continued in construction work. He also worked at SWCC as an Ag Business Teacher in Creston . Having sold his farm, they moved to Olds, IA where Pat managed a little grain elevator for a year. They returned to the Corning area, because Pat got his farm back due to the economy & financial times. Pat and Marilyn divorced in Feb. 1998.

On October 17, 1998, Pat married Audrey Joan (Gillett) Klecker in Red Oak, Ia. They lived in the rural Kent area. Pat retired in 2012.

Pat was a former member of the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Corning and a formerly a member of the Knights of Columbus. Patrick was a part of the I.U.O.E. Local 234 for 14 years.

Survivors include his wife Audrey Hollinrake of Creston; three sons, John Hollinrake of Council Bluffs, Ia.; Ryan Hollinrake of Sun Valley Lake, Ia.; Adam Hollinrake of Shawnee, Kansas; four step-daughters, Jennifer Norton of Murray, Ia.; Susan Klecker of Stillwater, Minn.; Mary (husband Cory) Hoakison of Corning, Ia.; Kristen (husband Jared) Robinson of Lenox, Ia.; four sisters, Mary Ann Peterson of Albia; Jane (husband Ed) Kamerick of Melrose, Ia.; Theresa (husband Gary) Shivvers of Ankeny, Ia.; Ellen (husband Gary) Walker of Albia; one sister-in-law, Jean Hollinrake of Lovili, Ia. four grandchildren, Dylan Owen, Addyson and Collin Hoakison and Jack Hollinrake and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents John and Virginia Hollinrake, two brothers, Tom & Jim Hollinrake and brother-in-law, Tim Peterson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Melrose, Iowa. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery in Weller, Iowa after the Funeral dinner. Fr. Pat Lumsden will officiate. Local Creston visitation will open from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8th and a 6 p.m. Christian Prayer Service at the Powers Funeral Home junction of highway 34 and 25 in Creston.

Visitation in Melrose, Iowa will be before the Mass, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church in Melrose.
