Mary Josephine Manley Claver, age 93, of Albia, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2016 at Monroe Care Center in Albia.

Josephine was born January 26, 1923, to Joseph Wallace and Ada (Evans) Manley in Albia. She graduated from Albia High School class of 1941. She worked at Loeb's clothing store and T.J. Allen's clothing store, both in Albia.

Josephine enjoyed playing the piano and traveling in the United States and Canada with her daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Gary Baughman.

Josephine is survived by her daughter, Judy (Claver) Baughman and son-in-law, Gary Baughman of Davenport, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and three sisters, Helen Manley, Edna Holder, and Ruth Dunkin.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the Tharp Funeral Home in Albia, with Pastor Neil Montz officiating. Burial will follow services at Oak View Cemetery in Albia.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service on Thursday, February 4, 2016, at the Tharp Funeral Home in Albia, with Josephine's family present.
