Marta Paulette Anderson, age 63, of Oskaloosa, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2015, at the Mahaska Health Partnership in Oskaloosa.

Marta was born May 15, 1952, to Robert D. and Ethel Ann (Ogden) Rowley in Albia. She graduated from Twin Cedars, class of 1970. Marta married John Anderson on August 1, 1975, at the Methodist Church in Bussey and to this union, 2 sons, Jason and Justin, were born. They shared 39 years of marriage prior to her passing.

Marta worked at the Big Smith overall factory in Oskaloosa and later worked in in-home health care for many years. Marta thoroughly enjoyed the holidays and loved cooking for her family, especially her homemade noodles. Her true joy in life was spending time with her family and friends.

Marta is survived by her husband, John Anderson of Oskaloosa; 2 sons, Jason (Kristi) Anderson and Justin (Jennifer) Anderson, both of Oskaloosa; 3 grandchildren, Chase, Electra, and Mikael Anderson; a brother, Scott Rowley of Los Angeles. CA; a sister, Nicolette (Lawrence) Kraber of Oskaloosa; 3 nephews, Troy and Trevis Kraber, and Douglas Rowley; and 2 great-nephews, Dalton and Cole Kraber.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ethel.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at the Tharp Funeral Home in Albia. Burial will be in Hiteman Cemetery in Hiteman.

Visitation will open at 9:00 a.m. until the time of services on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at the Tharp Funeral Home in Albia, with Marta's family present.

A memorial has been established to Marta's family.
