Margaret Ann Judge, age 86, of Albia, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015, at the Monroe Care Center in Albia.

Margaret Ann Judge was born October 25, 1928 to Dr. James B. Judge and Mary (Coughlin) Judge in Chariton, Iowa. She lived in Smithers, Canada from 1929 until 1936 when she moved back to Albia. She graduated from the Albia High School with the class of 1946.

She worked and lived in Des Moines until 1952 when she moved back to Albia to be with her dad and brother. Margaret then moved to Oxnard, California in 1956 and worked at Pt. Hueneme Naval Base. Margaret then moved to Reseda in 1958 and went to work at Rocketdyne and enjoyed her job there until she retired in 1989. After retirement she moved to Chula Vista in 2003 with her brother Jerry and sister-in-law Ruth. She then moved back to Albia in 2011 to the Monroe Care Center. Margaret was a true Albian and love Iowa. She will be greatly missed.

Margaret is survived by her brother, Bernard (Kay) Judge of California City, California; sister-in-law, Ruth Judge of Chula Vista, California; her nieces and nephews, Mike (Sherrie) Tallman, Susan (Mike) Tallman Von Ree, Karen Tallman, Janice Tallman, Linda (Tom) Judge Brault, Barbara Judge Jensen, Tom Judge, Donna Judge, Craig (Jean) Judge, Mark (Debi) Judge, Cindy (Dan) Judge Leedom, and Sean Patrick Judge; numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews; and many beloved cousins and a great number of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary Judge; sister, Mary Elinor Judge Tallman; brothers, Gerald Joseph Judge and Patrick James Judge; and a niece Lisa Tallman Jackson.

Margaret's family would like to thank the Monroe Care Center's staff for the excellent and loving care they have given Margaret for the past 3 ½ years. The family would also like to thank Father Mike Volkmer for his guidance.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 20, 2015, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Georgetown, with Fr. Patrick Lumsden, officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Mary's Cemetery in Albia. No Visitation is planned.
