Malinda Kay Flattery, age 49, of Albia, passed away July 26, 2015, at her home in Albia surrounded by her loved ones.

Malinda was born November 29, 1965, in Albia to Kenneth and Gerri (Clark) Powers Jr. She attended the Albia High School and graduated with the class of 1984. After the ambulance moved out to the hospital, Malinda stayed home to raise her children. In 1999 Malinda started her business selling Aflac insurance for a time before retiring to focus on her family. She enjoyed flower gardening and loved being outdoors. Her real joy in life was her family and spending time with friends.
