Love Emblem

Kathy Felton, 66, died peacefully at home in Des Moines on March 20, 2016. She was born in Albia on March 20, 1950 to Melba and Robert Felton.

Kathy pursued a teaching career which she loved, first in Melrose and then in Albia at Grant School. She enjoyed seeing her former 5th graders whenever she was in town. After her marriage she moved to Des Moines and became a Special Education Consultant with the Heartland Area Education Agency where she worked for almost twenty years before retiring.

She is survived by her husband Robert Eells, her brother Dan (Deb) Felton, her niece Lindsey (Brent) Houck, and a great many loving and devoted friends.

A visitation will be held at the Tharp Funeral Home in Albia on Friday, March 25 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral services will follow on Saturday, March 26 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Albia. Kathy's cremains will be interred at a later date.

Contributions may be made to the First Christian Church in her memory.
