Delores Ann Dykstra, age 82, of Albia, died February 19, 2016, at the Mahaska Health Partnership Serenity House in Oskaloosa.

Delores was born June 25, 1933 to Charles and Eda (Tucker) Bailey. She grew up and attended Bussey Schools and graduated with the class of 1952. After graduating she attended college for business in St. Paul, Minnesota. On November 3, 1956 she was united in marriage to Robert Dykstra in western Iowa.

Delores worked at the Continental overhaul factory in Oskaloosa for many years and worked in the ASC office in Albia. She was a homemaker for most of her life but also helped in taking care of the farrowing house. She enjoyed collecting coin glassware, loved animals and was an excellent cook. Her real joy in life was spending time with her husband.

She is survived by her husband, Robert of Albia; 2 brothers, Keith (Connie) Bailey and David (Judy) Bailey both of Bussey and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Eda; a brother, Richard Bailey and a sister, Evelyn Beth Jager.

As was Delores's wish, there will be an immediate private family burial, and no other services are planned.
