Eva Lee "Pudge" Coghlin Amos, age 77, of Albia passed away January 29, 2016 at the Monroe County Hospital.

She was born to Everett and Leona (Wright) Coghlin on June 11, 1938. She grew up and attended Albia Schools. Pudge married Ron Paris in 1957 in Ottumwa. To this union 4 children were born, Rhonda Paris, Randy Paris, Rod Paris and Reid Paris. Pudge and Ron later divorced. In 1972 she was united in marriage to Charlie Canny in Lancaster, Missouri. Pudge and Charlie divorced in 1990. In August, 2006, she was united in marriage to Jim Amos and they made their home in Albia.

Pudge was the first woman to be hired in the Union at John Deere Ottumwa Works since World War II. She was a proud employee at John Deere Ottumwa Works for 26 years before retiring in 1999. She enjoyed traveling, knitting, sewing, going shopping, and enjoyed the constant stream of "her babies" passing through the home. Pudge also an avid motorcyclist and owned many Harley Davidson Motorcycles. Her real joy in life was spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Amos of Albia; 11 children, Rhonda Paris, Randy Paris, Rod Paris, Reid Paris, Debbie Fish, Lori Mills, Missy Canny, Dave Amos, Lee Amos, Debbie Hannan, and Liz Madison; 29 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; a sister, Judy (Ron) Vernon of Chariton; a brother Richard Stocker of West Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her lifelong best friend, Betty Amos; 2 sons, Mike Canny and Mike Amos; two grandsons John Wesley and James Joseph Paris both in infancy and a sister-in-law Inez Stocker.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 1, 2016 at the Tharp Funeral Home with Pudge's family will be present from 6-8 Monday evening.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tharp Funeral Home in Albia. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
An open memorial has been established to the family.
