My heart ached when I read a post that Ms Charlene had passed. We were co-workers at hy-vee. She always made me laugh. She spoke her mind, never held anything back. She used to make me melted pepper jack cheese on a saltine cracker, those were the best. I'm so honored to have known such a spit-fire of a lady. Most definitely a one of a kind. I will truly miss her. Until then, Ms Charlene. Always, Janette

I worked with Charlene for a few years at mom's place. She was always a good listener when I was having a bad day. And was so much fun to joke and horse around with. Later on my kids loved going to her house on holloween she always gave good candy, in my the words of my children,
and was always dressed up. She will be missed :(

I worked with Char for almost three years at HyVee and never have I met such a woman with so much enthusiasm to do something. I remember training Charlene and after she was done with training, she would go up to the counter to greet a customer and say "What do you want". I loved this woman is if she was my own grandmother. This past year, I lost another one of our coworkers, Julie Wells. And man is my heart breaking for both families. They maybe gone, but never forgotten. <3>
